Diabetes Recipes for Desserts

Healthy diabetes recipes for the whole family to enjoy!


  • This diabetes recipe combines chili powder and pepper with fruits.  Weird it may sound but after you have tried it, you would be surprised how well it work.

Fruit Chaat (Serves 4)

Ingredients

  • 175 g can guava, drained
  • 175 g honeydew melon
  • 110 g pears
  • 110 g apples
  • 110 g tangerines
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds, crush
  • pinch of chili powder
  • pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • 2-3 tsp artificial sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

To Garnish

  • fresh mint leaves, slightly crushed or broken

Preparation

  1. Cut up all the fruits into small cubes or tiny segments so that the spices can mingle into the fruits easily.
     
  2. Mix all the spices together in a bowl, pour in the artificial sugar and the orange and lemon juice, stir and shake the mixture to blend them.  Pour this over the fruit, mix gently, garnish with the mint leaves and chill well before serving.
